Ryan’s Analysis: Survivor 44 Premiere
Survivor is back, baby! And boy did it come back with a vengeance. That was an elite premiere of Survivor. Seriously one of the all time greats. I absolutely loved the episode. We have a stellar cast and two tribes that I think could be extremely exciting to watch, especially if one implodes like I think it will.
Ryan’s Analysis: Survivor 43, Finale
Sigh. What the hell?! This show needs to get its editing game under control… Does the winner make sense and give a satisfying conclusion to the season? That isn't the case here and it's very frustrating.
Ryan’s Analysis: Survivor 43, Episode 12
Ok, that was my favorite episode of the season, so far. The strategy talk after the Immunity Challenge was a ton of fun, but then things got real. That was one of the most brutal betrayals we've seen on Survivor.
Ryan’s Analysis: Survivor 43, Episode 11
I love it when the contestants find a way to beat production at their own game. It always makes me laugh to watch production scramble to deal with something they didn't anticipate.
Ryan’s Analysis: Survivor 43, Episode 10
Normally I don't really give a crap at all about the Reward Challenges on Survivor, but this episode was certainly an exception. Noelle's win was exciting and badass. Unfortunately, it helped lose her the game.
Ryan’s Analysis: Survivor 43, Episode 9
I really enjoy these episodes of Survivor where they split the group up and two people get sent home. It's a fun way to shake up the game that feels more authentic than just advantages.
Ryan’s Analysis: Survivor 43, Episode 8
This was a pretty straightforward episode of Survivor without any big moves, and you know what, it was nice. It's refreshing to have an episode like this sometimes.
Ryan’s Analysis: Survivor 43, Episode 7
I didn't love this episode of Survivor. While I liked the format for the Immunity challenge, we spent too much of the episode there and Jeff trying to make a big moment out of the castaways helping Noelle and Jeanine out of the net rang hollow.
Ryan’s Analysis: Survivor 43, Episode 6
It was nice to have a merge episode that didn't make me completely rage. To have a good, old-fashioned, chaotic merge episode was a delight.
Ryan’s Analysis: Survivor 43, Episode 5
I hate the Knowledge is Power Advantage with a passion and I was ready to rage about it being back in the game. Luckily, it was knocked right out of the game in this episode and I couldn't be happier. I doubt it, but hopefully it's gone for good this time.
Ryan’s Analysis: Survivor 43, Episode 4
What an absolute meltdown. This was a pretty average episode of Survivor until it wasn't. I was genuinely surprised by how it shook out. Plus we get some cool new challenges.
Ryan’s Analysis: Survivor 43, Episode 3
Episode 3 of Survivor 43 was a pretty average episode of Survivor. Pretty straightforward, but enjoyable, if not spectacular. That's okay. Not every episode needs to be jaw-dropping.
Ryan’s Analysis: Survivor 43, Episode 2
I enjoyed the first episode of Survivor 43, but I wasn't fully hooked. After watching episode 2, consider me hooked. What a fun episode.
Ryan’s Analysis: Survivor 43 Premiere
Survivor is back, baby! And I am hyped! This was a solid premiere and I'm really optimistic about this season. The cast has a lot of potential and we don't have the Hourglass or the Do or Die this time around.
Ryan’s Analysis: Survivor 42 Finale
And so we've reached the end of another season of Survivor. I do think this was a better season than 41. I think the post-merge was superior, the editing was more well rounded, and the winner had a much more satisfying arc.
Ryan’s Analysis: Survivor 42, Episode 12
I love when the person I am utterly convinced is going to win the game gets taken out. It makes the show so much more exciting, especially when heading into the finale.
Ryan’s Analysis: Survivor 42, Episode 11
I love it when Jeff's stupid twists completely fail. It brings a smile to my face. Now, let's never do the Do or Die and especially the Knowledge is Power ever again!
Ryan’s Analysis: Survivor 42, Episode 10
This was a pretty straightforward episode of Survivor, to the point where I would call it predictable. But, you know what? A straightforward episode of Survivor is nice sometimes.
Ryan’s Analysis: Survivor 42, Episode 9
Well that took an unexpected turn for the heavy. That 2nd Tribal Council was utterly fascinating to watch.
Ryan’s Analysis: Survivor 42, Episode 8
Once again, Jeff Probst learns nothing. Apart from that, this was a fairly average episode of Survivor though I did love the red paint part of the Beware Advantage.
