Survivor 46: Episode 9 "Spicy Jeff" Gameplay Analysis
"I'm not trying to have a Jurassic Park sequel right now."
-Ben Katzman
It's always fun when you find yourself yelling at the TV screen during an episode of Survivor. I was absolutely yelling at Hunter to plays his Idol. It's frustrating that he didn't listen to me, but it was still an exciting episode of Survivor that leaves the door wide open for some craziness next week. Let's take a look at who played well and who sucked!
Who Played Well:
Taking Hunter and his Idol out of the game is good for everyone and everyone, except for Liz and Q, was in on it. The Siga 3 continue to keep the spotlight off of them and Charlie also managed to win Immunity. Unless the other players get wise, the Siga 3 could roll over the rest of the completion.
Finally, I loved that Tiffany told everyone she was going to play her Idol, but didn't end up playing it. That's a classic strategy that probably won't work again, but I always love to see it in action. Getting out Hunter is great for her, but I don't like how much she was fighting with Q.
Who Sucked:
Venus finally succeeded in getting rid of Hunter, but she wasn't very nice to him during the episode. Sure, he's out of the game now, but he's on the Jury. Do you want his vote?
Kenzie was also part of the plan to take out Hunter, but before that she was gunning for her closest ally, Tiffany. She's already lost Q as an ally and told him as much. It's too soon to cut Tiffany, especially since I think Kenzie can beat her at Final Tribal Council.
Q spent the entire episode dealing with the fallout of the previous Tribal Council. He seems like he's dead in the water and has no chance of winning. He ended up being completely left in the dark for the vote.
Finally, Liz was also left out of the vote against Hunter and voted for Q twice. It's bad that she was left out, but it's worse that she was targeting Q, one of the only people Liz has a chance of beating. Take him to the end! Don't try to eliminate him no matter how crazy he is acting.
Verdict:
Best Player of the Episode goes to Charlie Davis for winning Immunity and being part of the driving force to take out Hunter.
Worst Player of the Episode goes to Liz Wilcox for being left out of the vote and for gunning for Q.
These last couple of episodes have been pretty crazy and I expect something big to happen in the next episode. I can't wait to see what it's going to be.
I'm excited to see what happens next! If you liked this breakdown, check out my other write-ups at www.stacysbloggoingon.blogspot.com/.
